I think this is easy to do, even if it does have ready to choose options, but I wanna go more detailed.

First of all enter to System [Start - Control Panel - System] and enter to the Advanced tab.

There you will see three sections to enter; you choose Performance section than click Settings button.

As you get Visual Effects tab you are able to see few ready setting which are for best appearance and for best performance or the special one CUSTOM!

Each of these will help you; if you have a great system use Best Appearance; if you have an old system use Best Performance; or if you want to do a self-config follow my directions.

- Using Custom Settings:
(When I write + (tick) and when I write - (don't tick) the options...

  - Animate Windows when minimizing and maximizing
  - Fade or slide menus into view
  - Fade or slide tooltips into view
+ Fade out menu items after clicking
  - Show shadows under menus
  - Show shadows under mouse pointer
  + Show transculent selection rectangle
+ Show window contents when dragging
  + Slide open combo boxes
  - Slide taskbar buttons
  - Smoth edges of screen fonts
  - Smoth-scroll list boxes
+ Use a background image for each folder type
+ Use common tasks in folders
  - Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop
  - Use Visual Styles on windows and buttons (this will change your theme to Classic.!!!)

Than click ok save settings and have a nice day with your computer. :)
