This is my second site update. This is what has changed on the site and what I plan to do in the future. By the way, if you sign up for the newsletter, you will be getting a special weekly site update that is nowhere on either blog! Let’s begin!
What’s New
- Have added CSS for fonts, links, and headings.
- Every page and every page being created is in XHTML!
- Have changed the Javascript rollover code
- Added a Javascript/CSS navigational aid.
- The Windows Vista article now has eight pages.
- Google Search Box is on every page.
- Added the “Change Screen Resolution” page.
- Removed Google Gadget because it was causing a lot of validation errors.
- Added the Install Recovery Console in the Tweaks section on the home page.
- Added the Vista Transformation Pack notice on the home page.
- Created a new feedback system and a mailing list.
Note that the site is now in Interactivity- Milestone 1!
Things I’m Planning
- Add some pages to “System Customization”, “System Maintenance”, and “Tweaks.”
- Get every page updated with the new navigational aid.
- Some possible performance, visual, or other improvements!
Note: You can also find a copy of this update on the Blogger blog, located at: http://usingwindows.tripod.com/blog.html.
This is the first monthly site update, so I will take a couple of seconds to say what this is. The Monthly Site Update will get you updated on the site. Site updates are slow, and the site is updated every week or so, even slower around the holidays. I’ll tell what’s changed and what I am planning to do. This won’t be found on the web site, so you have some exclusive information!
Here’s the Monthly Site Update:
Changed:
I am in the process of converting the site to XHTML. It may take a while, but every new page is in XHTML.
I have recently added a “Google Gadget”, a sudoku puzzle. It’s up to you on what continues. Should it stay? Should I even have my own page of Google Gadgets for you to play around with?
This blog has been created! Which one to keep? This one or the Blogger one?
Planning:
I am planning to populate a new section called “System Customization”. As you can see, it is already in the nav bar, and it has one basic page with no links that work. I am working on an article about changing the resolution.
I am also planning to add some articles to existing sections, such as “Tweaks.”
This is the first “Monthly Site Update”. There are many more to come!
